Why you’ll love this Protein Banana Bread
No added sugar This protein banana bread is entirely free from added sugar. It derives its sweetness from 3 ripe bananas. Adding chocolate chips, nuts, or raisins will also enhance the sweetness. If you want to make this bread sweeter, add 1/4 of a granulated sweetener alternative.
High in protein I substituted a generous amount of flour in this protein banana bread recipe with unflavored whey protein powder to enhance the protein content without compromising the taste. 15 grams of protein per slice makes this banana bread one of the best high protein snacks you can indulge in.
Gluten-free This gluten free bread is made with naturally gluten-free ingredients. The main dry ingredients in this protein banana bread are almond flour, whey protein powder, and two tablespoons of tapioca flour to help with the texture.
What is in this Protein Banana Bread
Bananas Because this banana bread is sugar free you want to use ripe bananas to get as much sweetness as possible from them. You’ll need three medium size bananas for this protein banana bread recipe.
Almond flour Healthy gluten-free flour alternative made with 100% almonds. It’s typically used in low-carb baking.
Tapioca flour This recipe calls for a small amount of tapioca flour, which helps with the texture and softness of the bread.
Protein powder I used unflavored whey protein powder.
