Easy Korean Style Chicken
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken breasts, diced into cubes
- 1 tbsp ghee or sesame oil for the skillet
- 2 tbsp sesame
- parsley or scallions to garnish
For Sauce
- 1 clove garlic, fresh grated or 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sriracha
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients for the sauce together. Add diced chicken to the sauce and mix well. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it sit in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes or until overnight. In the meantime, you can prepare your side dish.
- On medium to high heat, preheat the ghee or sesame oil in the skillet, add the chicken, and roast for about 2-5 minutes.
- Lower the heat to low and cover the skillet with the lid. Let the chicken simmer for about 10 minutes. It will start to produce some juice, and that's fine.
- Remove the lit from the pan, bring up the heat to medium to high and mix the chicken regularly for about 3-5 minutes. The juice will start to thicken, covering the chicken. When no liquid is left, sprinkle the sesame over the chicken and fry for one more minute.
- Serve over rice garnished with herbs or scallions.
