Chickpea Flour Grisini Breadsticks (gluten free)

Ingredients

  • 87 g chickpea flour, finely ground
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • pinch of garlic powder (or more to taste)
  • 25 g parmesan, grated
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180C/350F degrees. Line the baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl whisk the chickpea flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and parmesan.
  • Add lightly whisked egg to the mixture and using a spatula or hand mix all ingredients until they come together as a firm dough.
  • Divide the dough into 8-10 equal parts (you can use a knife and a kitchen scale to get more precise portions). Roll each part into a ball in your hands first, then put it on the clean kitchen counter or cutting board and roll each ball into approx. 12 cm long even breadstick.
  • Place rolled breadsticks on the prepared baking pan 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until slightly cracked and golden brown.
  • Let them cool on the baking pan before removing them.
